Kuantan, the sea and mountain (23-27 June)

Mmmm finally clearing this as well.

Maybe my gd mood is here...I did a massive blog when its not even my own leisure trip.

Only the sea & mountain...

where work turns pleasure (23 - 27 June 2010)

ONLY FIREFLY - the new budget air flies DIRECT SIN-KUANTAN.

Its not my first time here but i didnt give it much notice previously.

Resemble hospital ward you think?

Just about 1 hour plus we reached! Much more convenient than previously have to connect MH flight at KLIA airport...waste time.


Safely got picked up by our Malaysia colleagues :)

& head straight to Lunch....hungry yea!


Can you smell them from the pics?

Kuantan is great place especially if you like seafood.

Not me haha

but i did try alittle and yes they are fresh and the taste is nice too.

(above: garlic steam clayfish. Below: stir fried shark meat / fried coffee ribs / special homemade tofu /stir fried 4 kinds of veges - 四大天王）

Check in to Swiss Garden Resort as per arrangement.
Mmm this place has got good seaview too.

Our cosy room :) and so nice they gave us one with really great seaview...!

I love the full mirror in the washroom too.

But it was raining then.


We went to stock up snacks , tibits & drinks awaiting for Foody's arrival the following day :)

THE NEXT DAY

While waiting for another appointment....

The tea break place..
& went back to some meetings and check out the actual set ups progress.

After work, its eat & leisure!

We also went do manicure and pedicure but we juz went into one that close latest.

And it was totally not cheap...almost similar price to SG.

THE NEXT DAY

dAmn i looked so puffy... :(

We finally have a chance to go down to do Lomantic stroll along the famous Kuantan beach :)

Ling started this monkey thing, then I.R asked us to do it together ahhaa..

I really sucked in keeping my legs straight..

Well u can nv ustd how short legged feel lor :p

First stop - You know what?

Kuantan is popular for its salted fish too....fresh.

See you get to choose from the many salted fishes.

Oh did i mention the super strong 'ba wu' (smell) ?

2nd stop : Durian Plantation visit

3rd STOP : SEE TURTLE

Above the eggs are protected till they are hatched....so many..

.

As they cant afford to take care of so much babies, they have to let these babies go back to their sea.

Oh i really cant bear to see these small tots crawling into the mystery sea.

They are such cuties..

You know actually their survival rate is only 5% or less :(

My fate was this sleepy head baby.

It doesnt wake at all....

Below all eager to release their babies they picked back to the sea.


My baby didnt wake until when the tide came... poor babies.

I hope all these made it through safely and not been eaten...

Dinner at night and but before we could finished .....

We were made to go back to the venue again to do last minute briefing... :(


FINALLY, THE IMPT DAY CAME



The balloons that flew off were replaced by some contingency plan.

The official portions....

Finally day event was done and back to hotel..

But we got production worker job then...

At times you just have to react to things that doesnt go according to plan.

But the thing that we look forward to is here!

SPA!

Nice - I totally felt asleep.

and of cos we just went into deep coma thereafter...

THE NEXT DAY (DEPARTURE)

Finally flying back and look at how shack out is my face without colours!

Thanks to the hangover...haha

Oh yea I love my new buys from the budget terminal dfs.

1) E. Arden - lip glosses

2) L'occitane - brightening facial foam wash (love the smell..)

3) YSL - Touche blush (original in touche design, been using for few yrs)

4) Chloe perfume

(totally my new love now - was using polo ralph romance for longest time. But the powdery & not over strong smell took me away. U must try it!)

Kuantan has Club Med too if you are keen, could be one of the nearest and worth beach to visit. oh yes trekking is popular (gotta wake up 4+am lor) there too but Ling and me too lazy and need beauty sleep....
