My first time in Penang. It was actually beautiful and cosy! I like it there and food do much of the trick too when you are in a foreign place. The penang laksa, cha kway tiao and you tiao all good! Even the wantan mee is not bad.
We feasted the night we arrived just before the event. It was raining cats n dogs and we had problem hopping onto cab and around the place sourcing for good food thus no picture was taken.
We stayed at G-Hotel, a very modern and chic place along Gurney seaside. It looks more exciting and welcoming than our Gallery hotel. Anyway there is no link FYI haha. I heard that this hotel is bulit only after the tsunami incident. So no worry about the incident did do any harm to the hotel or not.
In fact, the hotel is really cool. Some rooms are equipped with Ipod system for you to pluck in yours anytime. Coolz.

I was staying on high floor facing right at the sea! It kinda look scary actually. I thought the tsunami did destroy the beauty of Penang sea. It looked kinda strange to me with many tiny 'islands' sitting in the sea. Without that, the sea could have look more smooth, calm and welcoming. The tsunami incident still cause some butterflies in stomach like the sea has potential to swallow us here.
