2012
(finale day - 23 Sep, Sun)

Every year DD told its the last year we are watching and when the annual event comes, he just can't resist the temptation of the fast and furious noise
On the first night of F1 (Friday) at wee hours, he managed to grab hold of 2 tickets for Sunday.

Gear : couple footwear :p

1

Hahaha
DD is never into a couple wear person.
BUT he customised these pairs of running shoes from Nike ID (For info : about S$260/pair) during his biz trip in Shanghai !
(In Asia, Nike ID is available in Tokyo, Harajuku too but only deliver to local address)
I was so surprised and touched.
2

So Guess this is the best occasion to do this couple thing.

You see why I do not fancy track shoes kinda shoes as I have one of the shortest and chuckiest pair of legs unfortunately.
3

He was just too distracted to do anything than looking at his races.
4

We reached around 3+pm and was running so hard just to see his Ferrari race (pant pant...) as ended around 330pm

7

During races and been confined by F1 event, the stores within were not crowded at all.
9

It was so warm, almost every half an hour its toilet visiting to clean up the sticky body...
10

It was quite fun walking around and seeing other new attractions available this year.
11

12

13

A lot of lanterns around in line with Mid Autumn Festival in Singapore.
14

Finally I got a pic with him when the Ferrari race ended.
15

After GP2 race, it was Porsche GT3 race which was pretty interesting too.
16

And almost everyone's favorite, safety car of F1 :)
16a

The best surprise was Ling!
We didnt know each other will be here until she saw my post on FB and texted me ahhaa..
And realised more than that, we realised both of us actually sitting in same zone and same area!
And we are in just a row's difference except in different blocks ahhaa..
17

18

Ours!
2a

Walking around to check out the concert at Padang.
Padang concert is the biggest and most happening concert for 2012.
18a

With the crowd at this point, I doubt we can squeezed in here after the F1 that ends around 1015pm to catch Katy Perry at 1030pm !!!
18b

Our view at night of the race.
The seats was not too bad actually.
19

20

F1 started at 8pm....
As usual they are too fast for iphone cam...
21

It ended with the surprise of beautiful fireworks just right above our heads!!
Sooooo happy!
22

Yes right above the heads :)
23

24

Firework rains thrilled me much more than the F1 actually :p
25

26

Happening at the same time not just over our head but right infront of us near to Ritz Carlton !!
30

After everything beautiful ended...we headed out quickly and squeezed thru batches of human traffic :(
But MBS view was too enchanting that I have to capture it with x100! :)
31

Yeah! very very much enjoyed this year's F1.
Glad we did not give it a total miss this year which we intended to :)

F1 city night race really rocks!

So glad they have successfully renewed the contract for another 5 + 2 years! Woooo...

Yes, I am proud of Singapore's work!
See you next year!

Finally went to the Harry Potter Exhibition @ MBS ArtScience Museum that is ending next week!

0

Saturday is crowded at MBS as usual.
1

2

I miss Harry Potter Movies!
3

Coincidently F1 is on going during this time. Look at the Bay seats quite filled up already.
4

5

While waiting for the lift to go down
6

It was very dim down there and we are not allowed to take photos upon entering the actual exhibition hall :(
7

6a

I like this simple lighting effect!
8

And they made a good effect using wind and projection but didnt capture it well here.
9

10

Finally got out of the exhibition hall and into the Harry Potter shopping area.

The wands are god damn expensive....the set is selling at $350. So I can only secretly take a picture.
11

Everything is so expensive in there.

:(

So spotted TWG with plenty of seats!
I had wanted to try TWG too.

Their selection of tea is definately more than the course and really scaringly alot as they also classifed tea from various countries. We have to take 5 minutes to go through.
IMG_2297

So to be faster and safer, you could pick from their classic tea with most familar ones you have seen.
IMG_2298

DD got a honey tea and I got a Imperial Orchid tea. Trying out something I dont come across easily.
15
The orchid tea aroma was good and btw, the teapot is really cute.
16

17

18

DD's beef tenderoin with fries!
19

I am on diet so I am having smoked salmon with bread and cavier. But I only one slice of bread and little cavier.
Taste was so so in general.
20

The food was not as good. Maybe teabreak would be something nice.
This simple dinner cost about S$100.

21

Grab stuff from Sephora as it was quite empty in MBS.
I wanted just a white/silver eye pencil from Urban Decay ($30),
BUT went on to grab Sephora breath spray ($10), Burt's Bees lip balm ($10) as well as Sephora bath tubes ($10 each).

Hope they are all good stuff.

I tried Urban Decay glide on eye pencil on hand and it has really good waterproof and staying power! I been trying to rub it hard but it kinda still stay on my hand for awhile.

Will blog about Urban Decay eye pencil separately :)
