Kansai Story Part 1 - 関西の話１ (Feb' 09)

The journey waited and planned for a year! Finally it is here thou we brought forward to go in Winter instead of spring again!!

Took advantage of the promo fare by SQ to Kansai and thus landed in T3...Saw so many temptations even before i board the plane. There is new arrival in Gucci!! :(

Anyway, slept thru the journey and only wake when there is food and on arrival. I din even bother abt the TV on flight. But it was definately one of my most peaceful ride as the plane to kansai was like only 30% full??? haha we sit anywhere we want eventually after all the hassle of online check in to reserve seats.

Finally! We reached Kansai and made our way to eat first and then to our Hotel...Trusty Hotel. Isnt it Lovely?

The room was still small but better than my last year's hotel in Tokyo. It is bigger and cosier here. The housekeeping is very polite and warm too.

So I am all ready!! Prepared to go gai gai after checking out the room!

Juz randomly browsing and waiting for other friends to arrive the next day. Anyway was dead tired....thou i slept thru the plane ride as usual....i can sleep anyway, dun doubt me ahaha :p

THE NEXT DAY - 20 FEB 09


On itinerary it is the trip to Aquarium in Osaka - KAIYUKAN. Since there is much good feedback of the 8 storey high water world and biggest shark in Japan? or Asia? We decided to give it a try
.
It was not too difficult to locate. In fact, tourist could purchase the Aquarium package inclusive of entry ticket as well as the day pass for the train to the desination.

The breakfast! - Loretta Burger, the must have for me when in Japan. I am not a beef person but do Try their beef burger with egg! yummy!!


Passed by this lovely building along the way, it is a hotel too.

Finall we are here! The tunnel of clear blue water welcomed us.

My cam is lousy, but this thing is really cute!! it sleeps in water too while swimming. Is that a beaver?

The penguins are so cutie! & the dolphins are too quick for my cam.

PUFFER FISH...SUPER FAT!

Saw this weird fish called SUNFISH, it seems like only with its fish head swimming...where are its organs packed in then? weird!

Did u see the huge shark as above? but well due to angle problem, my cam did not do its size justice.

Below : Also saw the sotongs and octopus. I hate octopus but they forced everyone to pic.

My goodness, they even got crabs here.....with those long legs...Eek i hate seafood.

BUT I Loved this section alot as below pics....the cutie jellyfishes! I din know there are such a wide variety of them.

.

In fact, such a small tiny pretty creature, can be extremely dangerous and lethal...so ironic.

.

But they are really so beautiful that i have to attach all to show ppl here.

Finally see daylight again!

This caught my eye - I felt so hungry and the feel of back to childhood.

So we went to eat our dinner in a random restaurant that claim to specialise in their gyoza -dumpling.

.

Ordered my fave curry udon with gyoza, but the taste is so so only. Instead I am impressed by the colour in the restaurant created by simple photos of the dishes from the menu. It is like suck into their world when you step in it.

There after shopping at shinsaibashi again which is just surrounding of our hotel.
