A pretty greenery with good fresh air to start off with...but its alittle more cold today or was it here.
I was shivering abit and body refused to take much pics..
But it is really relaxing here.

That was even a small area where it used to be a school of keeping bees.
So we gotta be extra careful when walking around there.

NOTRE DAME DE PARIS

Notre Dame de Paris (French for Our Lady of Paris), also known as Notre Dame Cathedral, is a Gothic, Catholic cathedral on the eastern half of the Île de la Cité in the fourth arrondissement of Paris, France. It is the cathedral of the Catholic Archdiocese of Paris: that is, it is the church that contains the cathedra (official chair), of the Archbishop of Paris, currently André Vingt-Trois. Notre Dame de Paris is widely considered one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture in France and in Europe. It was restored and saved from destruction by Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, one of France's most famous architects. The name Notre Dame means "Our Lady" in French, and is frequently used in the names of Catholic church buildings in Francophone countries. Notre Dame de Paris was one of the first Gothic cathedrals, and its construction spanned the Gothic period. Its sculptures and stained glass show the heavy influence of naturalism, unlike that of earlier Romanesque architecture.
..
The cathedral suffered desecration during the radical phase of the French Revolution in the 1790s, when much of its religious imagery was damaged or destroyed. During the 19th century, an extensive restoration project was completed, returning the cathedral to its previous state.

Below are 3 of the main reasons that make today's Notre Dame so well known and popular.
.
(1)
(Above pic) -- Notre-Dame is CENTER OF FRANCE
In 1768, geographers decided that all distances in France would be measured from Notre-Dame. One hundred and seventy-six years later, when Paris was liberated during World War II, General de Gaulle rushed to the cathedral after his return, to pray in thanksgiving. In many ways, Notre-Dame was and still is the center of France.
.
(2)
The Hunchback of Notre Dame is the English title of Notre Dame de Paris (1831; Eng. trans., 1831), Victor Hugo's greatest historical romance, which set the fashion for fictional explorations of the past that characterized French romanticism.
.
(3)
In 1430: Henri VI of England is crowned. Mary Stuart becomes Queen of France after her marriage to François II, and is crowned in Notre-Dame.
(You will often see below picture around in France and in Loruve Palace/Museum.)

The Centre Pompidou, called as well Beaubourg, was born in February 1977 to focus on all forms of modern and contemporary creation: sculpture, painting, books, cinema, video, performances, music, etc.

The items for cheese steamboats: cooked potatoes, slice cheese, various kinds of ham, salads etc.. (They even got sashimi salmon for us thinking we might want fish :) )
.
1st - melt your cheese in the heater device with the little spade like tray
2nd - pour it onto your ham or peeled potato on plate
3rd : ready to eat~~!!
.
Very full & fattening indeed....But i could go for only 1 potato, 1 salmon & 3 hams for cheese steamboat.
